Sento International Marketing Communications Notice

v1.027 August 2026

Ce document juridique est actuellement disponible en anglais.

Ce document est un brouillon et n'est pas encore le texte juridique final publié.

This Notice explains how [CONTRACTING_ENTITY_NAME] ("Sento") may send B2B marketing communications by email, SMS/text, telephone call and messenger. It does not govern service, security, billing or other transactional communications necessary to provide an existing service or respond to a request.

1. Marketing channels

Sento may use:

  • email;
  • SMS/text messages;
  • telephone calls; and
  • business messengers or messaging accounts.

A channel is used for marketing only where Sento has the consent or other direct-marketing basis required for that channel and recipient under the applicable law.

2. Service, demo and contract communications

A person may contact Sento for support, request a demonstration or discuss connection/contracting without giving marketing consent merely by making that request.

Sento may send communications reasonably necessary to respond to the request, arrange a demonstration, negotiate/perform a contract, provide security/service notices or satisfy legal obligations. Those communications must not be used as a pretext for unrelated marketing where applicable law requires separate consent or another direct-marketing basis.

3. EEA and United Kingdom

For electronic direct marketing to recipients in the EEA or UK, Sento applies the GDPR/UK GDPR lawful-basis requirements together with the ePrivacy/PECR and national direct-marketing rules applicable to the channel and recipient.

Depending on the jurisdiction, channel and B2B relationship, prior consent may be required or a limited B2B/soft-opt-in/legitimate-interest route may be available. Sento does not assume that one rule applies across every EEA country.

Where consent is required, it must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous and withdrawal must be available prospectively. Where legitimate interests are relied upon, Sento considers the recipient's reasonable expectations and provides an effective right to object to direct marketing.

4. Canada

Where Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) applies to a commercial electronic message, Sento sends the message only where a valid express consent, qualifying implied consent or another statutory permission applies and includes the sender information and unsubscribe mechanism required by law.

5. United States

Commercial email is sent subject to applicable CAN-SPAM requirements, including accurate sender information, non-deceptive content and a functioning opt-out mechanism. Sento processes opt-out requests within the legally required period.

Telephone and text-message marketing is subject to the TCPA, applicable Do-Not-Call rules and state law. Sento obtains prior consent where the applicable rule requires it, including for automated/prerecorded telemarketing to covered numbers, and honors applicable do-not-call requests.

6. Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Brazil

Where applicable:

  • Australia: Sento follows the Spam Act/direct-marketing and Do Not Call requirements applicable to the channel, including consent where required, sender identification and unsubscribe;
  • New Zealand: Sento follows the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act and related privacy requirements;
  • Singapore: Sento applies the PDPA/Do Not Call and other applicable messaging requirements; and
  • Brazil: Sento processes marketing contact data under an applicable LGPD legal basis and provides the notices/opt-out or consent controls required for the processing and channel.

7. Opt-out and withdrawal

Sento provides a practical method to stop future marketing through the relevant channel:

Channel Method
Email Unsubscribe link or another clearly stated unsubscribe mechanism in the marketing message
SMS/text STOP or another stated local opt-out method where supported
Telephone Tell the caller not to make further marketing calls to that number
Messenger Use the provided unsubscribe/opt-out control or send a clear request to stop marketing on that account

An opt-out applies prospectively. Sento may retain a minimal suppression record for as long as reasonably necessary to ensure the person is not re-added to marketing in violation of the request or to demonstrate compliance.

8. Consent and compliance records

Where needed to demonstrate a lawful marketing communication, Sento may record:

  • recipient/contact identifier;
  • channel;
  • source of the contact or consent;
  • applicable consent/notice text and version;
  • date/time of consent, qualifying relationship or other relevant basis;
  • withdrawal/opt-out date and channel; and
  • suppression status.

Records are retained only for the period reasonably necessary for the compliance purpose and any applicable limitation/recordkeeping period.

9. No bundling

Where marketing consent is required, Sento does not make that consent a mandatory condition of accepting the Sento Terms or obtaining the core Service unless the marketing itself is the requested service and the law permits that arrangement.

10. Contact

Marketing opt-out or privacy questions may be sent to [LEGAL_EMAIL] in addition to the channel-specific mechanisms above.
